03/15/2004 SONOVISION-ITEP strengthens its position in North America

Following the successful creation of its Canadian subsidiary in Montreal in December 2000, SONOVISION-ITEP has just completed the acquisition of APPENDIX TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS GROUP.

APPENDIX was founded in 1989. This Canadian company specializes in the management and production of technical publications intended in particular for the aerospace and military industries. With a workforce of 90, APPENDIX should achieve CAD 7 million in total sales for the current financial year (ending 30 June, 2004).

The acquisition is fully in line with SONOVISION-ITEP's development strategy and confirms the company's commitment to strengthening its position on the North American market in the field of technical and logistic information processing for the aeronautics and space sectors, and more generally for Industry as a whole.

In particular, this development allows SONOVISION-ITEP to:

• reinforce its presence in 4 major Canadian cities (Edmonton, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto) with APPENDIX;
• consolidate APPENDIX's know-how with SONOVISION-ITEP's experience in the sphere of logistic engineering and its extensive knowledge of XML technologies for the integration and development of logistic information systems;
• offer its customers in North America a complete range of services, from Logistic Support engineering through to distribution to the users of the supporting technical documentation:
  • integrated Logistic Support (ILS) ; MSG/ILS engineering work;
  • development of logistic information systems based on XML technologies and the Internet;
  • multilingual translation;
  • design / drafting / distribution of operation, maintenance and supply documentation.
