SONOVISION-ITEP has developed its network of European partners in the technical publications field …

SONOVISION-ITEP has set up a network of European partners with the main national leaders in the technical publications field:

• Eurodoc in Germany (2002),
• Pennant Information Services Limited, in the United Kingdom (June 2003),
• Indra Sistemas in Spain (July 2003).

Initialized in 2002 with the acquisition of Eurodoc in Hamburg, SONOVISION-ITEP’s approach is to develop a strong European position in the field of technical and logistic information processing.

On the basis of these highly integrated partnerships, SONOVISION-ITEP is able to meet the demands of European customers in the aerospace field, Airbus in particular, and extend its commercial activities to other industrial fields in Europe (defence, transport, energy, etc.).

This arrangement allows SONOVISION-ITEP to develop high-performance, dynamic commercial policies in all European industrial sectors, in both the technical publications field as well as further upstream, through maintainability surveys, integrated logistic support or project management.

Translation business

SONOVISION-ITEP boosts its translation business with the takeover of the Gedev Group…

SONOVISION-ITEP has the pleasure of announcing that it took control of the Gedev Group on July 30, 2003.

The takeover was partly by direct acquisition of shares and partly by transfer of the translation business of SONOVISION-ITEP’s Paris Technical Center. These operations give SONOVISION-ITEP a share of approximately 75 percent in the capital of the new holding company, Gedev International.

Gedev International wholly owns three operating subsidiaries: Gedev S.A., Biat and Netword.

Since the takeover, Gedev International, a new subsidiary of SONOVISION-ITEP, has become the leading French translation company with sales of more than € 7 million. SONOVISION-ITEP has taken a major new step in the implementation of its development strategy.

The size of the new company will allow it to rapidly develop its translation business, especially alongside Europe's leading manufacturers.
