Joint Venture

February 2005 SONOVISION-ITEP and PENNANT have set up a Joint Venture company called PENNANT SONOVISION-ITEP Limited in response to demand from European aerospace industry clients

The creation of this 50/50 joint venture - PENNANT SONOVISION-ITEP Limited – is consistent with SONOVISION-ITEP’s stated strategy of establishing a solid European presence in the processing and presentation of technical and logistical information.

PENNANT SONOVISION-ITEP Limited is the logical extension of the partnership the two companies first established in 2003 in response to demand from European aerospace industry clients, and especially AIRBUS, with the production of technical documentation for the A340-500/600 and A380 programmes and MSG-3 analyses.

Based at Filton, PENNANT SONOVISION-ITEP Limited will be headed up by Steve Brown, who will report to a board of directors with equal representation from SONOVISION-ITEP and PENNANT. PENNANT PLC has sites in Aberdeen, Manchester, Cheltenham and Southampton and specializes in:

  • The design and production of training courses, CBT and simulation training systems,
  • The production of documentation for the defence, rail and aerospace industries.

The company also markets the Omega 2B logistics database system.
